Indian jeweller signs gold dealFriday, 3rd November 2006 (4120 views) Indian jeweller Rajesh Exports has sealed a deal with the Dubai-based Radha Krishna Jewellers to export gold jewellery worth Rs 226 Crores (£26.4 million).The purchase involves a festive range of gold jewellery, designed by Rajesh Exports and the order is expected to go through before December 25th 2006. India is currently the world's largest gold market with a turnover of more than Rs 85,000 Crores (£9.9 billion) per year. Rajesh Exports are presently embarking on a programme of introducing new stores around India with a total of 14 showrooms recently completed. Also, the company intends to introduce another 30 showrooms under the brand name of Laabh by November 15th 2006. The Times news network last month reported Rajesh Exports' chairman Rajesh Mehta as stating: "We will have a pan-India presence in every state with multiple stores therein." Rajesh Exports is one of India's largest jewellers, was established in 1990 and has its headquarters in the Indian city of Bangalore.
