Brazilian stones set to get a gold settingThursday, 14th September 2006 (4469 views) Brazilian jewellery makers Francesca Romana has released a set of individually designed gold and silver jewellery, showcasing the renowned beauty of the country's semi-precious stones. The pieces cross the elegance of Italian design with the natural beauty of Brazil. These feminine items of jewellery are sculpted into a mix of angular lines and soft curves, while at the same time retaining the striking contrast provided by Brazilian semi-precious stones. They contain pearls in hot, vibrant settings and natural, autumnal stones to hint at the onset of winter. Golden backgrounds provide further adorned casings for graphite quartz, black jasper and tourmaline. Since starting out in Rio De Janeiro in 1991, Francesca Romana has opened 20 stores in 12 countries spread over the globe.
