Monday, 19th June 2006 (5891 views) UAE-based Damas Jewellery has introduced its Harmony collection, a new 22-carat gold jewellery range with Italian influences.The yellow gold range was introduced to the world by the Indian actress and model Lara Dutta - an example of the "glamour and elegance of today's young and modern women" suited to the jewellery, according to Damas managing director, Tawhid Abdullah. Ms Dutta said she admired the jewellery "for its elegant Italian craftsmanship and sleek designs. "The collection gives the world of 22-carat a new face by making tradition look good on you. The timeless designs are perfect for both day and evening wear." Ms Dutta represented India at the 1997 Miss Intercontinental pageant, after which she spent four years as a model with the leading cosmetic company L'Oreal. Although based primarily in the UAE, Damas also has showrooms in North Africa, the US, Italy and India. These showrooms are broken down into four categories: Les Exclusive, Semi Exclusive, 22-carat and 18-carat. Brands include Babylon, Princess, Heidi Klum and Solitaire, with rings, necklaces, chains and earrings of both yellow and white gold.
