Dancing Apsara has announced plans for a new jewellery line which will include gold bangles and a range of new earrings.

The collection will feature precious stones set in gold, with the firm boasting the new line "would not look out of place in such resorts as Ibiza, St Tropez and Capri".

However, unlike the jet-set world of St Tropez the jewellery will not cost the earth, with the cheapest pieces starting at £200.

For a gold bangle with precious stones the price goes up to £2,500, with founder Rubia Link saying she felt the line offered something different.

"Our jewellery is inspired by the Far East which provides it with a particularly ethnic and ornate feel," she commented.

"Some of our pieces use the ancient method known as the Kundan technique. Those pieces were traditionally worn by Indian Royalty and, today, their stylish versatility means they can be worn for many occasions - whether a beach party in Ibiza, a cruise in the Caribbean or a city shopping trip."

The jewellery is set to be available for October 2006 and will be sold online and in fashion boutiques.
