Monday, 15th May 2006 (5456 views) The Moscow World Fine Art Fair is set to showcase some beautiful examples of ancient Greek jewellery, including gold pieces, which will join treasures from the world over.The third annual fair will collect together the works from 80 galleries and companies across the globe, and Christie's International the auction house is set to attend. Tatyana Rappo, vice president of Art Culture Studio, the Swiss-based company responsible for organizing the fair, said: "We want Moscow to become a meeting place for collectors, gallery owners, art dealers and art lovers. Just as any other world capital." The news comes at a time when the Russian fine art market is relatively young, but industry insiders believe it is developing quickly. This is the first time that the fair will play host to not only antiques dealers, but also to a number of contemporary art galleries.
