Thursday, 11th May 2006 (5274 views) The 2006 Shanghai International Jewellery Exhibition is now underway in China, with more than 400 exhibitors showing gold jewellery, gems and other items.The largest fair in the country dedicated to fashion jewellery and accessories, the exhibition takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and features 1,100 stands. Delegates over the three-day event will include jewellery wholesellers, retailers, department store buyers, manufacturers, designers, gemmologists and students. Running from May 10th to 13th, the expo is expected to attract world famous jewellery designers, with this year's event focused on "fashion designs and special production skills", according to CCTV. The sixth Shanghai International Jewellery Fair, organised by Neway International Trade Fairs, runs from June 11th to 14th at the Shanghaimart Exhibition Centre and is expected to attract 600 exhibitors.
