Book of Mormon adorned with gold figuresFriday, 7th April 2006 (3788 views) An Arizona woman is selling the pages of an original Book of Mormon individually for $2,500 each. And each page comes in a free-standing frame made of Purple Heart wood, embellished with two 24-carat gold emblems portraying the angel Moroni the other-worldly being who helped Joseph Smith, Jr produce the Book of Mormon in the 19th century. Helen Schlie of Gold Canyon, Arizona has signed a deal with Experience Press of Salt Lake City to sell the pages of the book. At first Ms Schlie endured the wrath of many Mormons who did not like the idea of a perfectly good Book of Mormon being torn up and sold page by page. However, it has since emerged that the book was not in good condition, due to the fact that she had shared it with so many people over the years. Experience Press also runs workshops to discuss the making of the first edition of the Mormon gospel, "Another Testament of Jesus Christ".
