Diamond to sparkle at F1 ballMonday, 20th March 2006 (3800 views) Former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins will wear a diamond and gold pendant to the upcoming Formula One Grand Prix Ball, Australia's Herald Sun reports.And the 3.35-carat Argyle pink champagne diamond, which is set in a handcrafted pendant made of 18-carat white gold, will be auctioned at the event to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia. The diamond was donated by Rio Tinto and Argyle Diamonds and is expected to fetch more than A$250,000 at the auction. The ball will be held on March 31st, with proceeds from the auction going to support women with breast cancer. Ticket buyers also have the chance to win two seats on Ms Hawkins' table. Jennifer Hawkins, of New South Wales, won the title of Miss Universe in 2004. She was crowned with a A$200,000 diamond and pearl tiara at the Quito, Ecuador event.
