Bangalore jeweller to exhibit in VijayawadaFriday, 10th February 2006 (4001 views) Bangalore jewellery brand Ganjam is to exhibit a range of collections in the southeastern Indian city of Vijayawada, according to newKerala.It will be the third time the company has exhibited in Andhra Pradesh province. Arun Gupta, assistant marketing manager at Ganjam, told a press conference that the company would exhibit classical and contemporary pieces from international collections. Precious stones set in gold and platinum would be on display, and also available to buy. Mr Gupta noted that Ganjam was the only Indian jewellery brand to have been invited to the Basel international watch and jewellery fair in Switzerland four times running. He also noted that Ganjam would be opening a showroom in Mumbai next month. Jewellery has been a part of Indian civilisation for many centuries. Gold ornaments have been discovered that date back as far as the Harappa and Mohanjodaro civilisations, thousands of years BC.
