Tuesday, 17th January 2006 (5902 views) Mobile phone jewellery is officially hot in India, according to trend spotters.Both men and women are increasingly decorating their mobile phones, the Times of India reports, with diamonds and other 'bling' particularly popular in the gold-loving country. Fashion-conscious callers often decorate their phone with stick-on jewels, with letters a particularly popular way of customising a phone. Mobile charms, often fashioned from gold, are also popular, with miniature slippers, butterflies and other cute charms seen dangling from many a mobile. So far most customers have been women. However, men are starting to get in on the craze, with many buying charms for themselves as well as lucky wives or girlfriends. Mobile phone decoration isn't just a trend in India. Phone charms and other pieces of cellular 'bling' have proved popular in the UK and US, particularly among younger mobile phone users.
