Theo Fennel chases investmentMonday, 16th January 2006 (4009 views) Luxury UK jeweller Theo Fennell is talking to a number of interested parties to secure funding for investment, Reuters reports. The retailer is famous for its links with UK celebrities such as Naomi Campbell and Sir Elton John and late last year disclosed plans to attack the US, Russian and Chinese markets. The funding could secure its future growth plans and would follow a scorching run of form for the AIM-listed outfit. Theo Fennell saw sales between December 1 and 24 grow by a third year-on-year, indicating that its high-class jewellery is becoming more popular among Brits with money to burn. Nine-monthly sales to January also increased an impressive 15 per cent. The retailer's 18-carat white gold tanzanite and diamond trellis, priced at £49,500, recently caused ripples when it appeared in Tatler. The company is also famous for its trademark silver keys and crosses. Other celebrity admirers include Robbie Williams, Elizabeth Hurley and Kate Beckinsale. David Beckham recently sported two of the jeweller's crosses when he went to Japan.
