Chanel boutique reopens in HawaiiFriday, 13th January 2006 (4402 views) The stars were out in force at the opening of the recently revamped Chanel boutiques in Honolulu's Ala Moana Centre. The Chanel Fine Jewellery Boutique in Hawaii's capital has undergone a transformation in the mould of the original "Coco" Chanel's Parisian apartment. Hawaii's own Brooke Alexander, as well as US TV show Lost's Yunjin Kim and Emilie de Ravin, all turned out to mark the special occasion. However, the real star of the show was the very 18-carat white gold, 47.59-carat diamond necklace worn by Nicole Kidman in the famously film-like TV advertisement for Chanel No. 5. The advertisement was directed by Baz Luhrmann, who also directed the actress in the zany musical Moulin Rouge. Those assembled in the boutique were also treated to a glimpse of an exclusive 18-carat white gold and diamond Comet Ring, the Star Bulletin reported.
