'Celebutante' Nicole Richie will be guest of honour at a party held by jewellery designer Judith Ripka to promote her new collection, 18k Couture, reports the National Ledger.

Nicole is currently promoting her book The Truth About Diamonds, whose cover she graces in an $18,000 Judith Ripka 18-carat gold and diamond ring and a diamond tiara.

Also attending the gathering will be Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Kirsten Dunst and Selma Blair.

Nicole is known for her role with Paris Hilton in The Simple Life and has now signed a deal with Fox to star in another show.

Ms Ripka has stores throughout the US and currently has a collection out entitled Judith Ripka Two, featuring pendants in 18-carat gold, sterling silver and diamonds.

Her jewellery is well known to the stars, who are frequently spotted wearing her gold creations.
