Ebel enlists glamour puss Gisele

Luxury watch brand Ebel has enlisted glamorous supermodel Gisele Bundchen to front its new global advertising push.

The chiselled glamour puss will adorn the company's Architects of Time campaign, set to launch in leading media in April 2006.

Switzerland-based Ebel is famed for its classic diamond-encrusted gold wristwatches and its name has become a byword for elegance and style.

The company already knows the value a supermodel's face and figure can bring to advertising drives after it recruited German beauty Claudia Schiffer for the job last year.

5' 11 Gisele hails from Beunos Aries and Ebel is convinced its new recruit's image represents a perfect match.

"Gisele is ideal for our brand - her global reach makes her instantly recognisable and respected, and she reflects Ebel's international appeal," stated Ebel's president Thomas van der Kallen.

"Her presence in our advertising will build on the highly successful campaign launched in fall 2004, and add breadth to our brand identity."

Other stars to have recently adorned high-profile watch campaigns include beardy Hollywood stalwart Johnny Depp and female film stars Charlize Theron, Meg Ryan and Uma Thurman.
