Upmarket Lana Jewelry has created the world's first gold infused candle containing one gram of 24-carat gold.

The 24KT Gold Heat Perfumed Candle is made with 24-carat gold flakes and 12 per cent of pure perfume.

Its manufacturers claim it is the world's only gold accented candle and are marketing it as the ultimate luxury item for Christmas akin to a piece of jewellery.

"This is the next chapter for Lana Jewelry, to provide and surround women
with fine jewellery throughout their everyday lives," said designer Lana Fertelmeister.

When lit the gold in the $165 candle reflects in the flame. The candle burns for 60 hours and gives out a compendium of aromas from lavender to cardamom.

Lana Jewelry hand makes fine gold and diamond jewellery, which has been worn by names such as actress Cameron Diaz, actor and rapper Ice Cube's wife and celebrity fashion designer Monique L'Huillier.
