Jewellery retailer Ishi's claims to have created the most expensive armband in the universe.

The armband is made from 1kg of gold, features 100,000 diamonds and reportedly costs $1 million, according to Rediff.

Designed by Mumbai craftsmen, the pricey armband has been worn by Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova.

Another expensive gold item was LA jeweller Chris Aire's $41.4 million red gold and diamond dress, which recently dazzled crowds at New York's fashion week.

In comparison, a gold Rolex watch believed to have been given to John F Kennedy by Marilyn Monroe sold at auction for $120,000.

Ishi's is the retail brand of Suashish Diamonds and has 80 outlets.
