Fashion designer Alyia Aftab will tomorrow open a fashion and jewellery boutique in Lahore.

Aura Collections will open in the Royalton Event Complex in Sherpao Bridge.

It will feature clothes from Indian designers such as Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal and Satya Paul.

Alongside the fashionable clothes will be a collection of bridal jewellery created from gold plate and incorporating precious stones, Ms Aftab told Pakistan's Daily Times.

Ms Aftab also intends to stock clothes featuring metalwork and some of the handmade lehngas are decorated with Swarovski crystals.

She anticipates that the clothes will prove popular, due to the scarcity of such materials in Lahore itself.

Pakistan relies on imports for its gold, which forms a fundamental part of wedding celebrations, purchasing most of it from Dubai.
