A modern-day treasure hunt with a bounty of jewellery is being organised in the US.

ScrollQuest is releasing The Guardian's Armlet; a publication that will include clues leading to hidden treasure worth $50,000.

Somewhere within the US, a copper coin with the ScrollQuest logo is waiting to be found by an intrepid treasure-seeker.

"It's a modern day treasure hunt. Where your intellect and our imagination are the only keys to finding the treasure," commented author and ScrollQuest creator Jason King.

After solving a series of puzzles embedded in ScrollQuest's $5 publication, adventurers should be able to locate the coin.

The finder will be rewarded with a $50,000 solid gold and silver armlet encrusted with rubies and star sapphires.

The scroll will be available for purchase from several bookstores and online shops as of November 18th when the hunt will commence.
