Indian jeweller sets up showroom in Mangalore

Alukkas Jewellery, one of the largest jewellers in India, will be setting up a new world-class showroom in Magalore.

The new showroom will display an exclusive diamond gallery called Taara. The company's general manager P P Jose, said: "It showcases all the leading brands of diamonds and platinum from all around the planet."

The company dates back to 1964, and has since dominated that jewellery business in India. It has 72 showrooms around the world and 30 outlets in western Asia.

It employs over 7,000 people and has around 20 million customers.

Film celebrities Kavya Madhavan, Manya, Seema and Ashita Crasta will appear at the showroom's unveiling ceremony.
