Bangalore-based jewellery exporter Rajesh Exports has recently signed an agreement with the Mineral and Metal Trading Corporation (MMTC).

Under the contract, Rajesh will supply MMTC with 22-carat jewellery for retail sales.

A company spokesman told BSE: "The first batch of jewellery has already been supplied and tested for purity."

It is the latest big contract landed by Rajesh. Last month it agreed to a £16 million deal with Singapore's Gold Star Jewellery, and just earlier it reached another lucrative agreement with UAE-based Excel Goldsmiths.

The state-owned MMTC is one of the largest gold dealers in India.
