Australia's latest reality TV show is offering prizes including a white gold tiara, that will swell the pockets of a lucky princess by over AU$100,000.

Filming has taken place for The Castle, a show in which several contestants compete in order to prove themselves deserving of an encounter with real-life royalty in the UK.

The winner of the televised competition will even be able to dance with real life prince, Prince Marek, who descends from Russia's Prince Vladimir and England's James I, reports Australia's Sunday Telegraph.

Teaching the female contestants how to act like a princess are former butler to Princess Diana, Paul Burrell; aunt to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Jane Ferguson and etiquette expert Jean Broke-Smith.

Among the fourteen contestants are a racing-car driver, a lawyer and one girl who works in a plastic surgery business who has even had "Princess" tattooed on her back.

Australian Princess starts on Australia's Network Ten on October 5th when the race is on to find the girl most befitting the white gold tiara.
