Friday, 16th September 2005 (6968 views) British designer Philippa Holland is displaying her latest line of jewellery in New York as part of fashion week.Vogue is championing the delicate pieces, which display a range of influences. Gold gypsy bell discs have phrases and sayings engraved into them and are designed to be worn on chains around the neck. Her line of jewellery incorporates stones from India, which have reportedly been blessed and purified; apparently the purple ones radiate mindfulness. Each of her gemstone pieces is set in 18-carat gold and made in England. Ms Holland has a celebrity following. Both Cameron Diaz and Sienna Millar have worn her wishbone earrings to film premieres. The designer, who studied the history of jewellery at Sotheby's, will be holding several private sales and shows in Europe throughout the year.
