The Australian Trade Commission, or Austrade as it is commonly known, has harnessed the support of Gulf Air to promote Australian artisans. James Hogan, president and chief executive of Gulf Air expressed his eagerness to support Austrade and to encourage business links throughout the Middle East. "Gulf Air has a key role to play in supporting economic growth in the Middle East and the Gulf region, not only through the promotion of travel and tourism but also by facilitating trade between members of the international business community," he declared. As the exhibition tours, interested parties from many cities will get to experience the ingenuity of Australian design which frequently features opals. Gold and silver jewellery as well as pearls and diamonds will also be on display.
