Jeweller wins top business awardMonday, 5th September 2005 (3951 views) A jeweller has won the top award for an incubated business at a small business conference in Hobart.Mandy Healey, who works in the rum-renowned region of Bundaberg was awarded the accolade for her jewellery business. Bundaberg picked up the prize for helping new businesses as it boasts an 80 per cent success rate for incubated businesses, reports Australia's ABC News. Mrs Healey is especially fond of using coloured gold and opals in her designs. In addition to wining the award, Mrs Healey's jewellery is included in a tour of Australian arts and crafts to the Middle East. One of her touring pieces, worth an estimated AU$10,000, is a jellyfish pendant with gold tendrils incorporating opal and diamond.
