Gold is the word on fashionistas' lips as the new trend for this autumn.

According to Helena Krodel from the Jewellery Information Centre, yellow gold started to make a slight comeback in summer, reported the Baltimore Sun.

"It started with the summer, with all of the bohemian trends and a lot of the ethnic looks. Yellow gold lends itself really well to a more ethnic look," she commented.

After the emphasis on platinum and white gold, yellow gold is once again to take the spotlight.

The autumnal browns, yellows and blacks on the catwalk are set off with the luxurious warmth that gold brings.

This news comes after International Jewellery London reported a slight increase in yellow gold's popularity.
