Jonna Gill produces many luxury items from her New York home including home accessories and gold couture jewellery and she has just gone online with her creations.

The company specialises in pieces made to order and currently runs a line of women and men's fine 18-carat gold and sterling silver jewellery ornamented with precious gems.

Publicising her foray onto the internet, Ms Gill declared: "The Jonna Gill standard is one of excellent craftsmanship and intricate design that marries timeless classicism with a contemporary interpretation of times past."

Her company was founded in 2003 and she holds a degree in metallurgy.

Many gold jewellery outlets now have online shops as it brings them to a larger audience and gold bullion can also be traded online as gold becomes ever more accessible to customers worldwide.
