Thursday, 11th August 2005 (5942 views) More jewellery has been sold by Signet Group, the largest retailer of its kind, between May and July 2005 than in last year's second quarter.<br/> <br/>The group has experienced a 3.3 per cent sales rise bringing its profit to £352.4 million for these 13 weeks.<br/> <br/>H Samuel is part of the group, which has chains in both the UK and the US and sells gold products in addition to other metallic jewellery pieces.<br/> <br/>Its American side makes up 74 per cent of the business thus reflecting the fact that the USA has the world's second largest gold market.<br/> <br/>Signet chains routinely provide high-street customers with important sentimental purchases such as wedding and engagement rings frequently fashioned from gold and other precious metals.<br/> <br/><br/><br/><img alt="track" src='http://feeds.directnews.org.uk/feedtrack/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=15021565'/>© Adfero Ltd
