Wednesday, 10th August 2005 (7664 views) Jewellery store Avenue Montaigne has added a 10,000ft store to the Gold Souk, a speciality shopping mall in India.<br/><br/>The new format store was commemorated with a show at the Hotel Intercontinental in Delhi in which top celebrity models such as Krishna Somany, Himani Thapa, Barkha Kaul and Ritu Singh wore high-value jewellery.<br/><br/>Avenue Montaigne will be stocking D'damas, a brand based in Dubai, which creates pieces using Italian gold, in addition to many others.<br/><br/>As India's largest branded jewellery outlet, Avenue Montaigne hopes to expand into the international market as well as developing its Indian stores.<br/><br/>Stores are planned for Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, the UK and the USA.<br/><br/>India is currently the largest consumer of gold jewellery in the world.<br/><br/><br/><img alt="track" src='http://feeds.directnews.org.uk/feedtrack/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=15020521'/>© Adfero Ltd
