Jewellers make speciality retail top 50Thursday, 4th August 2005 (3945 views) Several jewellery companies have made it into the National Retail Federation's (NRF's) Top 100 Speciality Retailers list for 2005.The list appeared in the NRF's monthly publication, Stores, and ranks the companies on the grounds of annual revenues. Helzberg Diamonds was the highest rank jeweller, at number 27 thanks to the ranking of its parent company, Berkshire Hathaway, followed by Zale Corp at number 30. Also included were Tiffany & Co and Sterling Jewelers at numbers 32 and 34 respectively. Rick Gallagher, Stores publisher and NRF vice president, said in a statement: "Specialty stores are attracting a large number of customers because they are able to provide the consumer with deep product assortments, experienced sales staff and high customer service levels." Topping the list was Best Buy, which racked up sales of $27.4 billion last year.
