WGC brings Italian goldsmiths to LondonWednesday, 20th July 2005 (4135 views) The World Gold Council (WGC) has announced details of a stunning new exhibition showcasing some of Italy's finest jewellers.Entitled Gold Expressions 2005, the show will run from July 26th to 28th at Goldsmiths' Hall in London and will aim to boost demand for the yellow metal across the globe by showing the industry at its best. The jewellery pieces are all the product of Italian goldsmiths, whose work is being shown as part of the WGC's wider efforts to give gold a higher profile. Two categories will characterise the exhibition: gold as a token of intimacy or friendship; and gold in a feminine setting as a representation of "woman's individuality and uniqueness". Although only open by invitation, those in the sector are hoping the chance to see some of the finest jewellers in the UK will provide a welcome boost to the domestic industry.
