A US citizen has unearthed what could be one of the most luxurious toilet seats ever made - complete with a golden finish.<br/> <br/>The Tahoe Daily Tribune has produced bizarre reports of a man who claims to be literally sitting on a small fortune.<br/> <br/>According to the Tribune, Fred Williams Jr of Dayton came across the exquisite toilet seat 22 years ago whilst helping a neighbour clear out her trash. <br/> <br/>"My father was a mineralogist," he told his local paper. "Boy, was he excited. He was rubbing his hands together when I showed him."<br/> <br/>Clad in an array of precious stones and rare minerals - gold, diamonds and rubies to name but a few - Mr Williams believes that this seat, originally dismissed as old junk, could be worth as much as $100,000.<br/><img alt="track" src="http://feeds.directnews.org.uk/feedtrack/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=15004569"/>
