Wednesday, 22nd June 2005 (5765 views) The ITE Jewellery & Watch Exhibitions, held in Delhi annually to showcase the finest jewellery from India and abroad, are still going strong.<br/><br/>Organised by the major conference and exhibition group ITE India, the exhibition, popularly know as the DIJE, was first held in 1996.<br/><br/>Renowned gold jewellers from across the country brought their carefully-crafted jewelley, inlaid with precious and semi-precious stones, to the first show, which was attended by more than 100,000 visitors.<br/><br/>The combination of traditional Indian design and contemporary technology ensured that the first exhibition was a success, and the DIJE is now held annually, in the southern city of Hyderabad as well as in Delhi.<br/><br/>According to ITE India, there are also plans to host the exhibition in foreign cities such as London and Vancouver.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8806359"/>
