The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) has launched a new ten-week long promotion, offering the chance to win gold and diamonds.<br/><br/>Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) gives visitors the chance to win ten kilos of gold and ten carats of Solitaire diamonds when they buy jewellery at any of the participating outlets in Dubai.<br/><br/>Moaz Barakat, managing director, Middle East, Turkey and Pakistan, World Gold Council (WGC), said: "The World Gold Council is totally committed in partnering with the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group in yet another fantastic gold promotion. <br/><br/>"We expect this promotion to maintain the momentum of the Dubai Shopping Festival 2005 Gold Promotion that yielded a 23 per cent increase in sales for all participating outlets."<br/><br/>It is hoped the promotion will help to push Dubai forward as the jewellery destination of the world.<br/> <br/>The DGJG expects the campaign will create more than AED320 million worth of sales during the ten weeks in which it runs.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8788632"/>
