Tiffany has announced plans to open a store Atlantic City, New Jersey, with plans for a lavish new jewellery display.

The 3,000 square-foot store will be located in a new retail and entertainment centre called the Pier and Caesars at the centre of the city's historic Boardwalk.

Beth O. Canavan, executive vice president of Tiffany, said: "We are extremely excited about becoming a part of this dynamic retail environment, and to unveiling our own heritage of quality, craftsmanship, and superior service that make shopping at Tiffany a unique experience."

The celebrated jeweller will offer an array of its well known collections as well as newly designed jewels in platinum and eighteen carat gold settings, Tiffany Celebration rings, fashion jewellery and watches.

The luxury store is due to open in 2006 and is seen as leading the way in plans to make Atlantic City a world-class luxury resort.
