Gold ornament presentation for Indian goddessWednesday, 18th May 2005 (4240 views) A host of gold items are to be presented to an Indian goddess in a religious temple today.According to New Ind Press, a gold crown, necklace and a pair of ear-tops will be presented to Vysyas. The presentation is part of celebrations for the birthday of Sri Kanyaka Parameswari. It is thought the temple was built before 1886 and it is used for daily rituals and for celebrating important festivals. Gold is often used in a traditional way in India for offerings to gods and goddesses and for bringing luck to newly married couples.
