Wednesday, 18th May 2005 (5882 views) A host of gold items are to be presented to an Indian goddess in a religious temple today.<br/><br/>According to New Ind Press, a gold crown, necklace and a pair of ear-tops will be presented to Vysyas.<br/><br/>The presentation is part of celebrations for the birthday of Sri Kanyaka Parameswari.<br/><br/>It is thought the temple was built before 1886 and it is used for daily rituals and for celebrating important festivals.<br/><br/>Gold is often used in a traditional way in India for offerings to gods and goddesses and for bringing luck to newly married couples.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8531452"/>
