Tuesday, 17th May 2005 (6372 views) As Cannes is awash with celebrities and film fans, the top names attending have been adding even more glitter to the event with their jewellery.<br/><br/>This is the 58th edition of the international film festival, with women adorning themselves in multi-coloured diamonds and feminine items.<br/><br/>Muriel Grehan, spokeswoman for the festival's official partner Chopard, told AFP that the new trend is for "very fine and feminine jewellery".<br/><br/>Yellow gold is said to be making a strong comeback with stars particularly keen on pendant drop and cascade earrings and vintage pieces.<br/><br/>Raja Ofera, who heads up Cartier's store in Cannes, said: "Vintage is the new big look."<br/><br/>Celebrities get the chance to pick from a host of beautiful jewellery on offer bought to the event by a range of top jewellers, with Chopard said to have bought 400 top-of-the-range sets to Cannes.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8521799"/>
