A gold pendant to commemorate the reign of Pope John Paul II has been launched by GoldQuest.

The Hong Kong-based company has designed the limited edition pendant, issued by the Principality of Andora in the Champions for Peace series.

The pendant is a 1/10 oz fine gold coin carrying an engraved picture of the late Pope, and comes with a gold-plated chain.

GoldQuest hopes that the special piece is a fitting commemorative token for the pontiff who reigned for 26 years, and whose death last month induced mourning across the world.
