Eastern jewellery trade fair opensThursday, 12th May 2005 (4261 views) The very best of Asian jewellery goes on display today in Eastern China.The Shanghai International Jewellery Fair is one of the biggest international events in the jewellery calendar, and this year's will see more than 300 separate displays representing the gold and jewellery industries from 11 countries. High-grade jewellery demand is continuing to grow in China, and famous brand names are expected to introduce a glittering array of quality items at the event, which runs until May 15th. With over 30,000 visitors expected to attend, the show is an excellent platform for gold manufacturers to identify new business opportunities and view the kind of trends developing in other sectors of the jewellery industry. Manufacturing machinery and packaging materials will also be on show. Shanghai's jewellery industry is currently experiencing massive growth, and boasts enormous sales volume. The city is home to the highest concentration of recognised domestic and overseas jewellery manufacturers on the mainland.
