Tanishq unveils plans for Indian gold rushMonday, 9th May 2005 (6671 views) Tanishq has launched a series of pre-booking schemes to enable customers to get ahead on the latest gold trends and purchases.Launched to coincide with Akshaya Tritiya day, one of the most auspicious days of the Vedic calendar, the scheme promotes the idea that any gold jewellery bought and worn on this day is thought to bring eternal good fortune to its wearer. Gold enthusiasts will benefit from an enhanced shopping experience, helping them avoid the risk of hasty decisions when in store, and a ten per cent price deduction. All Tanishq boutiques in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka are offering the deal, which was announced in Bangalore by the actress Shobhana. The 22k jewellery has been specially designed to mark the occasion, with pieces ranging from traditional to modern and suitable for everyday and formal wear. Brand manager, Ms Shilpi Das, told IndianTelevision.com: "This Akshay Tritiya, women can not only own exquisite Tanishq jewellery that suits their tastes and preferences, but also select Tanishq jewellery leisurely well before Akshaya Tritiya and avail of the attractive ten per cent discount on making charge."
