Blue Nile sales sparkleFriday, 6th May 2005 (4132 views) Blue Nile has seen its first quarter profits rise after a strong performance from the jeweller in the start of 2005.Sales soared by 23.3 per cent as total sales hit $44.1 million. Gross profit also rose, up to $9.7 million, as chief executive office Mark Vadon hailed "excellent sales and earning growth". "These results demonstrate our ongoing ability to drive continued business growth while delivering strong profitability to our shareholders," he said. "We are pleased with all areas of our business, and we are well-positioned to deliver on our 2005 goals." The company says that sales for 2005 could yet surpass $200 million.
