Museum showcases ancient Vietnamese treasuresThursday, 5th May 2005 (4254 views) The National Museum of Vietnamese History is to hold an exhibition of hundreds of Oc Eo artefacts.Items will come from 11 southern museums and will include gold currency and jewellery - very popular amongst the Oc Eo people, according to the VNS. All the items were discovered in the last 60 years and offer an insight into attitudes and lifestyles of people at the time. The expo is one of a number of events organised to celebrate the 30th anniversary of national reunification. Items will be on display until August 15th.
