Traditional bracelets charm consumersWednesday, 4th May 2005 (5884 views) Charm bracelets are becoming popular again in the US with jewellers relaunching them with a slight twist. The bracelet is seen as one of the most sentimental pieces of jewellery by jewellers and is the perfect gift for a host of memorable occasions. However, jewellers wanted to relaunch the traditional accessory with a difference and instead of dangling charms, the bracelets now stretch. Maxwell Ohnezeit, a registered jeweller and manager of David Fairclough Fine Jewelers, told the Toledo Blade: "The Italian charm bracelets are extremely popular. The links can be interchanged and replaced. They don't dangle. They're stretchable." In addition, the charms and bracelets are available in 14-carat gold, gold plate and gold overlay and bracelets can be made unique with gemstones, engraveable charms and new photo charms. "The neat thing about charm bracelets is the sentimentality of it. It's a memory of your entire life, from high school graduation to religious events, it's the milestones of your life," Mr Ohnezeit added.
