Wednesday, 27th April 2005 (9031 views) Fashion designer Marc Jacobs has joined forces with Fossil to produce a new line of luxury watches.<br/><br/>The designer is trying to move into the market due to the current popularity of luxury goods and ladies timepieces.<br/><br/>A total of nine timepieces make up the collection, inspired by the vintage-look and featuring items with diamond accents and feminine ribbon straps.<br/><br/>Mr Jacobs told Women's Wear Daily: "I've seen girls with vintage Cartier watches that I love. We all agreed we didn't want something modern looking. We wanted it to have a kind of old feel to it. All the girls we know wear those kinds of things."<br/><br/>The watch collection will be sold in speciality and high-end stores in the US, Europe and Asia and in the designer's boutiques which will sell the watches first.<br/><br/>Promoted with a strong luxury feel, the watches will be priced from $650 to $2,500.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8369947"/>
