QVC launches new musical-inspired collectionFriday, 22nd April 2005 (4376 views) QVC has swapped TV screens for the stage as it provides new US play Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with a host of top jewellery.The home shopping channel has given around 100 pieces for leading ladies in the play to wear, including bold gold necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Items were created by a host of top stars including Joan Rivers and Kenneth Jay Lane. Gregg Barnes, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' costume designer, said: "After discovering the jewellery collections that Joan, Kenneth and Nolan created for QVC, I knew their designs would be a perfect fit with the opulent wardrobe concepts I designed. "These talented designers have made a splash in the jewellery industry with their high-quality pieces that reflect both vintage and contemporary styles and we are happy to have such over-the-top gorgeous jewellery featured on our equally fabulous leading ladies." Mr Barnes personally selected each of the extravagant pieces of jewellery for the show, which has been running since March 3rd. The Scoundrel Collection will be available to buy on QVC from April 25th and a live broadcast will be held featuring the celebrity creators and performances from the musical.
