A traditional Indian art form has become popular again with customers from all across the world.<br/><br/>Thewa jewellery, a Rajasthani art form for 350 years, is becoming popular again, using 23-carat gold foil set against colourful glass.<br/><br/>Vishnu Sodhani, from a jewellery house selling Thewa, said: "Thewa art serenades the mystical and the modern. It has designs inspired from natural forms like peacock and elephants. These collections are very elegant and feminine."<br/><br/>The pieces of coloured glass are encased in gold plated silver and then designs are worked out on glass pieces with gold leaf.<br/><br/>Particularly popular Thewa items are pendants, earrings, bracelets, mirrors, jewel cases and small indoor boxes.<br/><br/>"Thewa ornaments have not only succeeded in entering the markets but have also turned into a fashion statement," V K Manoj, who recently organised an exhibition of Thewa jewellery in India, told Press Trust India.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8324133"/>
