Monday, 18th April 2005 (6475 views) As Italy's OroArezzo drew to a close last week, one strong trend stood out from the rest - gold mesh jewellery.<br/><br/>Buyers at the event, held in Arezzo, Italy, tend to look for beautiful, unique and innovative designs and this year finely woven mesh impressed.<br/><br/>Finely woven gold mesh was shaped into elaborate earrings, necklaces, brooches and bracelets, to offer something a little different.<br/><br/>A number of companies also combined the gold mesh look with colour.<br/><br/>One company that created products in this way was Metal Orafa, which moulded gold mesh into a variety of floral arrangement for necklaces, rings and bracelets, according to JCK.<br/><br/>Trying to offer something that little bit different Metal Orafa then combines the pieces with colours such as blue and brown. Company official Alessandro Pozza, said: "We are at least one year ahead of the competition."<br/><br/>In addition Vicenza & Valentina have adopted the new look, using woven gold for gold watchbands and open-link yellow gold necklaces.<br/><br/>The company had a number of woven necklaces set off with gemstones as well, using from eight to 18-carat gold.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8300343"/>
