Deadline day for Shipman jewellery

Friday, 15th April 2005 (4006 views)

Today is the final day for relatives of the Harold Shipman victims to claim jewellery that was found in his home.

The issue was first bought up in March, when widow Primrose Shipman called on the police to return gold jewellery and other items seized by police.

However police officers called on families to come forward with any details proving that the jewellery could have been stolen from the victims.

Any items that are left after day will be returned to Mrs Shipman, according to the BBC.

The items are thought to be worth around £10,000.

Items include wedding rings, necklaces and brooches.track
