New collection from Alpana GurjalTuesday, 29th March 2005 (4353 views) A new jewellery collection has been released by gold jewellery designer Alpana Gurjal.The jeweller hopes to appeal to men, although male jewellery is already popular in India, the "metrosexual era" is set to boost sales even further. Ms Gurjal told Delhi Newsline about the collection: "Not chains, because I don't like chains on men. "But things like cufflinks and buttons for kurtas and bandhgalas." The new collection features items for both men and women, with pieces all having a contemporary design. Many of the pieces contain semi precious gems and "coloured stones", with relatives of the designer attending its launch to model various pieces.
