Tuesday, 15th March 2005 (5723 views) A host of gold jewellery items seized by the customs department in Malta are to be put up for auction.<br/><br/>During the last few months, various sections within the department have been holding investigations into the illegal importation of gold articles, which led to a number of arrests being made.<br/><br/>The department is now going to auction the many items, which were confiscated by the department on discovery, according to di-ve.<br/><br/>Items include gold bracelets, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, rings, necklaces and tie pins.<br/><br/>In addition, there are a number of sets including necklace, bracelet, pendant and earring collections.<br/><br/>The auction will take place on March 20th at Customs House in Valletta.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8034126"/>
