Indian fashion experts have declared this season's colour is yellow, with yellow gold jewellery set to make a huge comeback.

Although white gold has become increasingly popular, this season women will look to combine their yellow outfits with matching yellow gold jewellery, according to the India Times.

It is thought Cate Blanchett helped launch the look when she wore a yellow Valentino gown to the Oscars.

As well as looking good, yellow is said to be associated with mental processes and can help people become more creative, as well as being attention grabbing and getting people noticed.

Yellow will move into the jewellery sector too, with chandelier earrings set to be a big hit with jewellers.

Style expert, Yashodhara Shroff, claims if people are going for a casual look they need to opt for one simple, large, yellow bangle, but when wearing ethnic outfits women should wear a lot of "yellow accessories for effect".
